Maura's journey began in Usquil, Peru, a charming mountain town nestled in the northern province of Otuzco. At a young age, she relocated to Lima, the capital city, where her elder sister, a fashion design enthusiast, introduced Maura to the art of crafting her own clothing. This initial exposure ignited a lifelong passion that has burned brightly since her childhood.

Maura pursued her academic aspirations, completing her undergraduate and business studies in Lima, Peru, with distinction, earning a place at the top of her graduating class. In her homeland, she established her own clothing boutique, working in tandem with her family to create a line that resonated with style-conscious patrons.

Upon her arrival in the United States, Maura explored various career opportunities. However, her transformative moment occurred while working alongside another skilled seamstress, prompting her to envision her own alterations establishment. And so, the story of "Sewing Creations By Maura" was born.
